Each year, Pagan Community Retreat is created by the people who gather there.
Pagan Community Retreat 2027 will take place April 16–18 at Bowen Ranch near Deep Creek Hot Springs in Apple Valley, California. The landscape may be new, but the heart of PCR remains the same: community, connection, learning, ritual, creativity, and time together in nature.
Bowen Ranch gives us a beautiful new setting for Pagan Community Retreat 2027, with wide-open desert skies, places to gather and relax, and plenty of room to settle in for a weekend together.
A New Landscape for Pagan Community Retreat 2027
Arriving at Bowen Ranch feels a little like stepping away from the everyday.
The property sits in the high desert near Deep Creek Hot Springs, with expansive views, open skies, and plenty of space for campers to make themselves comfortable.
For those who want to cool off during the day, Bowen Ranch has a private pool just a short walk from the main camping area. The property also has six shower houses, each with a private toilet and shower, available to campers at no additional charge.
For the adventurous, Deep Creek Hot Springs can also be reached by hiking from the surrounding area. It is an excursion rather than a quick walk from camp, so anyone planning to visit should come prepared for desert hiking conditions.
Places to Gather
PCR has always been about what happens when people come together.
At Bowen Ranch, Pagan Community Retreat 2027 will have new spaces to do just that.
An air-conditioned recreation tent will give us another place to gather, relax, and enjoy activities together, including one of PCR’s favorite traditions: karaoke.
Gas grills are available at several locations around the property, along with a basic camp kitchen area near the pool, giving campers more options for preparing meals throughout the weekend.
As always, you can expect plenty of opportunities to connect through workshops, rituals, crafts, conversations, shared meals, laughter, and all the spontaneous moments that become part of a PCR weekend.
Look Up
One of the things we are most excited about for Pagan Community Retreat 2027 is the sky.
Away from the city lights, the high desert offers a darker nighttime landscape than many of us are used to seeing.
Bring a telescope, binoculars, a blanket, or simply your eyes and spend some time looking up.
There is something especially fitting about gathering beneath a wide desert sky, watching the stars appear overhead as another PCR day comes to an end.
A Little Adventure
Campers looking for something extra to do will also find a few opportunities for adventure.
Bowen Ranch offers ziplining for an additional fee, and participants take part at their own risk.
When the desert air cools in the evening, campers can also enjoy the property’s sauna. Bathing suits, including both tops and bottoms, are required for everyone using the pool and sauna areas.
Whether your ideal Pagan Community Retreat 2027 weekend involves trying something new or finding a shady place to sit and talk with friends, there will be plenty of ways to make the weekend your own.
Bring the Family
Pagan Community Retreat 2027 is a family-friendly Pagan event, and children are an important part of our community.
On Saturday, we will offer a program of activities created especially for kids. A parent or guardian must remain responsible for their children throughout the event.
Children under 17 attend Pagan Community Retreat free of charge.
Throughout the weekend, there will also be workshops, crafts, rituals, and other activities that people of many ages can enjoy together.
Camping in the High Desert
April in the Apple Valley area typically brings comfortable daytime temperatures and cooler nights, so campers should come prepared for both.
Bring layers and warm bedding for the evening, and make sure you have a way to create shade during the day. Umbrellas, pop-up canopies, and tents are welcome, but everything must be securely staked down.
Pets are also welcome at Bowen Ranch and must remain on a leash.
