You’ve heard the call of the runes and you answered. You memorized the meanings and can interpret a cast, but deep inside you know there is so much more.
This class will go beyond the use of the runes for divination and will discuss some of the many ways in which runes can be used for magic. From simple inscriptions to the construction of Bindrunes – using the runes to construct sigils or even self-contained spells to convey you intention into the world.
This will not be “Runes 101″ – it will assume that you are familiar with the meanings of the Elder Futhark, but the techniques are adaptable to all the different futharks. If you are a beginner, you are still welcome, as this class could give you some ideas of where to go in your future studies.
No need to bring your rune set to class, but paper and a pencil will be handy.
Rod Basler has been drifting around the edges of the Esoteric for more years than he cares to remember, let alone admit. Unusually, his interest in the runes resulted from an early exposure to Norse mythology, rather than from Marvel comics.
