Pagan Camping Sprouting a community event

As light returns and seeds are beginning to sprout, the Pagan Community Retreat planning committee is hard at work for our April 2023 event. Our theme this year is “Making Magic” and we are celebrating 10 years of events under the “PCR” umbrella. We have an amazing planning committee of talented community members who are collaborating and conspiring to build an event that connects our community in ways that last beyond our 3 days together.

We cannot create this without the suggestions and participation of our community. Our presenters are all participants, and we appreciate all the knowledge, experience and sharing you bring to our events. If you have something you would like to share, please submit to present it via our website. Please note that we do not confirm presenters until they have registered to attend PCR. What skill, workshop, class or ritual do you have seeded and are looking for an opportunity for it to blossom in the community?

We have a new space at DowntoEarth Ecoshire, the Hangout Hanger, which might be called “The Great Hall” on our PCR map.

This provides an “indoor” space for presentations and night events…stay tuned for more details.

We encourage supporting our hosting site by pre-purchasing food for breakfast and dinner when you register. It makes it so much easier to enjoy the event when you don’t have to prep or clean up and can socialize during meal times. We have even had presentations during meals. It reduces water usage and trash when the meals are created for the group. They have been incredibly supportive of a variety of dietary needs including gluten free, vegan, and nut allergies. Just note any personal food needs on the form when you register and make your selections.

All the rain and cold weather we have experienced this winter is the necessary ingredients to seed a “Superbloom” of wildflowers at the DowntoEarth Ecoshire site. We are excited to see what “Magic” Gaia will make for our 2023 Making Magic PCR event. It is certainly going to make for a spectacular plant walk.

If you have camped a little or a lot, or never camped before…we are the group to join. We have spaces away from others, spaces in the middle of the area and lots of folks and sharing to make even a first time camper successful. Check out our Camping with Pagans, Camping Lists and Camping tips blogs for even more information.

So you don’t like to camp, we have a number of lodging options, 15-20 minutes from the site with a variety of price ranges. If you would just like to join us for a day to check out what we offer, we have day passes. Many day pass visitors have returned to join us the next year.

Our commitment to building a supportive Pagan community is core to our mission of bringing the Pagan community in nature to enjoy an enlightening, spiritual, and educational camping experience enjoyed by pagans and their families. We are so excited to share and build community with you. Come find your people at Pagan Community Retreat 2023.
