What The Smut was conceived in late 2019. Kandy loves podcasts and she loves talking to her friends. Jokingly about once a week she would say, “We should start a podcast.” and everyone would laugh and laugh. Then Lisa moved 2 hours away and those conversations started to happen less often. Then Karen threatened to move 26 hours away so Kandy got serious about it and came up with an idea. This podcast is so we can talk (and talk we do!) all of the time.
We read paranormal romance and sometimes erotica novels and chat about them. It’s half book club, half review, and half girlfriend gab session. Yes, that’s too many halves but we aren’t that great at math.
What The Smut is an Aquarius with it’s moon in Leo and Gemini Rising. The fact that we know that probably tells you more about us than any of that astrology stuff does.
We are woo woo, Tarot reading, astrology sniffing, incense burning, shadow work doing, sex-positive feminists. Love it or leave it.
Ivy still refuses to listen to her own voice. Lisa has taken up binge reading. Karen’s computer search history is filled with sex toys. Kandy does all of the audio and has only the tiniest bit of scavenged training. We hope you enjoy this as much as we do.
