This talk will cover some of the basic aspects of divination using runes. While it will not cover the basic meanings, it will discuss the history of the runes as a writing and a divination system (as well as dispelling some common misconceptions), the concepts of time and fate within northern cosmology, and various methods for performing readings. It will also include suggestions for studying the meanings of the runes, and hints for making or obtaining a set.
Rod Basler has been shuffling cards and seeking the divine since 1977, when he discovered tarot, I Ching, and geomancy. He encountered the runes nearly 40 years ago while studying Anthropology in college, and it has since become his main tool for divination. He has previously lectured on the subjects of runes and rune magic.
