Artwork by Clover | Digital Art
Art can be an act of devotion, an offering, or even a way of finding a path through a difficult moment. This digital piece, “Gift to the Muse” depicting Apollo, Greek god associated with healing and the arts, grew from all three.
From the Artist
This piece was made in the middle of a horrible art slump wrapped in a bout of anxiety. I’d been anxious for weeks in a way that even medication couldn’t help, and the fact that I couldn’t make any art made it even worse. I’m a devotee of Apollo and I thought; “I haven’t made an offering in a while. A devotional piece may be in order.” So as a gift to the Healer and Lord of Muses, I wanted to draw him surrounded by hyacinths with his lyre.
Medium: Digital art created using Clip Studio Paint.
