idunna pagan altar

Our theme for PCR 2022 was “Renew” and it was reflected in some of our pagan altars and rituals. We had some Heathen flavor in our programming, which included a “Blot” for Idunna and we found a personal altar in camp with an Idunna figure included.

Finding time to visit around the camp and asking about the camp pagan altars, is a wonderful way to meet other community members. If they have created an altar at camp, they often enjoy sharing what it means to them. Whether it is a simple offering upon a stump, a ritual space or an elaborate construction, they are all honoring our connections with the unseen and liminal forces in our practices.

A ward next to the corner of a tent, was a good place to add the sigilized stones made in a workshop along with their cauldron.

This personal altar inside someone’s camp, included The Art of Sigil‘s book by Gina Leslie, one of our sponsors.

Some altars were a bit more elaborate than others.

For some, the interactive altar is a fire, and our Fae musicians added some offerings before performing.

We hope to inspire you to create your own altar at home, in a park or at our next PCR event and share it with us.
