This rite reminds us that we all come from the Earth, our Mother, who sustains us. As we celebrate her, we will give her offerings as a show of our gratitude for all that she continually gives us – as well as share our experiences (and plans for the future) of being of good service to her.

Basics of Runic Divination

This talk will cover some of the basic aspects of divination using runes. While it will not cover the basic meanings, it will discuss the history of the runes as a writing and a divination system (as well as dispelling some common misconceptions), the concepts of time and fate within northern cosmology, and various methods for performing readings. It will also include suggestions for studying the meanings of the runes, and hints for making or obtaining a set.

Spinning and Other Wyrd Fiber Arts

Spinning and other fiber arts have been associated with magic in many cultures. Come by and set with me a spell. I’ll spin a tale or two, show you a few tools for spinning wool into yarn. Give examples of ways fiber arts have been used as magical methods. If you spin, knit, crochet or do any other quiet, mobile fiber craft, feel free to bring it to work on during this event.
